UNIBO Service gateway

The Single Sign-On (SSO) process allows a user to authenticate once with its institutional credentials (username and password) to access all the computer resources, integrated with SSO, to which the user is authorized. In web applications integrated with SSO, authentication requests are not managed directly by the application, but are redirected to the central authentication system called Identity Provider (IDP).

The UNIBO Service gateway allows student and staff members of the IDPs federated with IDEM/EDUGAIN to access UNIBO web applications by using the UNIBO IDP, based on Microsoft ADFS, as proxy.

The service is managed by the ALMA MATER STUDIORUM - University of Bologna.
